Eugene was a natural comedian. I never felt like I was being attacked. He once commented that I walked as if I was killing roaches. Whenever there is an opportunity, I share that with others. I have shared that with so many who have looked sad. They have wanted to meet the person who said that to me.

Wow. I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Saunders passing. I owe him so much in terms of my work ethic and showing me the ropes in photography while I was a student at NSU.. It was him that taught me to go the extra mile and to avoid mistakes from the gate. I'll never forget the time he made me stay 2.5 hrs after work to retouch some images BY HAND at that time because I had printed up a 200 photographs of then President Wilson only to find there was a dust mark right in his eye. LOL! He would be happy to know that I am still doing what I love. Thank you for your guidance Mr. Saunders and god bless your family and loved ones. ---Andreas

I was saddened to learn of Eugene's passing. He was a well respected colleague and a great photographer. We affectionately called him "Photog" in University Relations at Norfolk State. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to the family. May God keep you and give you comfort and peace.
